Executive position with SEEDS in Shimla, Himachal
SEEDS, is a national NGO working in the area of Community Based Disaster Management is now recruiting the following positions. Work areas include disaster mitigation and preparedness programmes with communities, technology innovations in shelter and habitat, documentation and research, training of disaster management actors, and policy advocacy.
Duty Station: Shimla for all posts
1. Manager, Community Planning – 1 Post
Qualifications: MSW
Responsibility: Full time. Support to Regional Coordinator in coordination of all activities, technical and operational coordination, and supervision of staff, consultants and office activities.
2. School Safety Trainer – 1 post
Qualifications: BSW
Responsibility: Full time. Planning and supervision of NSM activities, and mason and engineer training.
3.Technical Officer – Structural – 1 post
Qualifications: Civil Engineer
Responsibility: Full time. Planning and supervision of NSM activities, and mason and engineer training.
4. Research & Accountability Officer – 1 post
Qualifications: BSW ,
Responsibility: Full time. Support to Contract Manager for monitoring as well as research inputs.
5. Site engineer – 1 post
Qualification: Bachelor of engineering (Civil) or Diploma in civil engineering
Responsibilities:Two years of filed experience preferably from Himachal Pradesh
6. Community Planning Officer (Block) – 1 post
Qualifications: BSW
Responsibility: Full time. Community Based Disaster Risk Management inputs and coordination of Block level Planning.
7. Field officer (Block) – 1 post
Qualifications: Graduate
Responsibility: Full time. Supervision of village cluster planning process, mapping, and linking with school level plans..
8. Social Mobilizers – 2 posts
Qualifications: BSW
Responsibility: Full time. Support to Field Officer for village cluster planning process,

Graduate civil engineer i.e. B.E. (CIVIL), Passed in 1993, having 15years experience in the field of construction of roads, buildings, commercial complexes, infrastructure projects, and contract administration i.e. estimation, Tendering, Billing etc. Currently working at Mohali Punjab with an Australian Construction co.
